Pausing This Spring For An Unusual Longing For Snow

Missed Winter

This winter didn’t bring much snow to my area. I was still very excited to get out and document the daffodils popping up through the layer of last fall’s crispy leftover leaves. The buds on the trees add more layers of color against the bright blue skies each day.

Then, I had to pause for a moment. I felt an unexpected longing for winter. We had cold weather, but no snow events that left a winter blanket to explore.

Before returning outside to enjoy more of the spring weather, I revisited some of my favorite winter scenes from the last couple of years. A heartwarming chill filled the room with awe on this beautiful spring day.
