The Plan for Travel Inspiration and Awe
There is a pandemic. It is winter. Got vantage points for awe? When I started writing this blog I thought I would be sharing travel insights from around the world. I thought I would have many great vantage points for awe. I thought the pandemic would be a temporary stay at home. Now, this weekend officially marks one year since I have traveled by air.
Plan B
As you can see from past posts, I have still found vantage points for awe over the past year, just closer to home. Now that the snow has arrived, again, and again…I have found three main sources for my vantage points for awe during this pandemic winter. Awe is a great lift to our mental wellbeing and health…and we can look for it from the safety of our own homes!
- Television Show. I have added a few new travel destinations to my list for when I am ready to get back in the air. I didn’t expect to use TV shows as travel inspiration but it happened. My favorite one is Virgin River (click each to see more info).
- My new favorite travel blog. I also write there too on occasion!
The World Traveler’s Blog is a publication on Medium. Check out my post about my favorite places on earth…Mackinac Island, Michigan. There are a lot of other great travel stories there as well from all over the world. - My backyard bird feeder. I also wrote a funny story about waiting for my birds to arrive and another about how smart my birds are. (click to see those two stories on Medium) I have been busy not only writing about my birds but also viewing them through a monocular that has a camera phone mount to take pictures. I am in awe of these amazing creatures. And, what a vantage point to observe from my upstairs loft window!
Until next time…looking for vantage points for awe!
